Howdy!

A lil about me...

Hi, I’m Teddie Swize (pronounced Sweezy)! I’m a passionate coder, amateur embroiderer, and lifelong learner. Whether I’m writing code or threading a needle, I love blending creativity with technical know-how to solve problems efficiently and create/improve meaningful experiences.

My journey...

I earned my B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science & Analytics from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). LSU was where I truly immersed myself in the world of data, but my passion for data-driven solutions began at the United States Coast Guard Academy, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of data in real-time operations. Transitioning from studying Operations Research to exploring the broader field of Data Science opened my eyes to the limitless potential of data in solving complex, real-world challenges.

Throughout my time at LSU, I conducted biomathematical research and completed internships at Seeq Corporation and Applied Research Associates. These experiences deepened my knowledge in machine learning, applied statistical analysis, neural networks, and database management. I gained hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and data visualization, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Exploring data science from various angles—engineering, analysis, and undirected research—has provided me with a strong foundation to approach any data-driven challenge with confidence.

I'm passionate about...

What I'm learning now...

  • HTML & CSS — and hey, look! I coded this website from scratch!

  • R (because apparently Python is too straightfoward)

  • Thread painting (think painting but with embroidery)
